The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona was first introduced in 1963, designed as a high-performance chronograph for professional race car drivers. Named after the famous Daytona International Speedway in Florida, the Daytona quickly gained legendary status due to its precision and robust design.

The reference 116503, part of the modern Daytona lineup, was launched in 2016, replacing the previous two-tone reference 116523. The 116503 is notable for combining the heritage of the Daytona with modern materials, technical advancements, and a timeless two-tone aesthetic.

  • A combination of 904L stainless steel and 18k yellow gold (Rolesor design).

  • Yellow gold is used for the bezel, crown, pushers, and center links of the bracelet, while stainless steel provides durability and a sporty feel.

  • The yellow gold bezel is engraved with the tachymeter scale, which is a signature feature of the Daytona. This scale allows drivers to measure average speeds over a given distance.

Dial Options:
